I think the building looks just fine as in a good shape compared to
the facade of the buidings surrounding it......some complained about the
narrow hallways, gimme a break, nobody lives in a the hallway of an
apartment building, that's not what counts.....
The destruction of Woodward, and MGomez places are just a make work
project of throwing out the old material and replacing it with old
recycled
products, which is what the MGomez place was made up of in the 1980's and
the last 10 years when Alex owned it....
He (Alex) got ripped off for a $160,000.00 City Housing lawsuit he
was trying to get after his heart attack.......
Some of the houses around there are close to 100 years old, and only
the new stuff is coming down....where's the logic in that...????????
The ****head Clients at MGomez Building was a pretty much bull****,
since the tenants never actually owned anything, and had no
responsibilities, therefore nothing better to do but push/pull
drugs/***/larceny but supply and demand......
Well the kids are out to screw up the world, like they did at the
Gomez Place, but the sane elderly are suffering in the process, and
loosing
a good free rental spot, that was desecrated by the punk dealers.....
They also provided as an easy picking spot for the VPD who saw them
coming and going in/out continuously.most of these kids got what they
deserved, but tearing down the building is another costly matter....they
wanna put a 500 unit building in a place they couldn't manage to fill the
original 76 units...
Well that makes a lot of sense, they had some 27 vacancies in the
MGomez place, and now they want to put a 50 unit causing even more even
more
vacancies......
