457 Plan fees

by "Rich R" <richr@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 21, 2004 at 09:08 AM

A lower cost 457 Plan now available from Fidelity Investments

My City used to only offer Nationwide and ICMA 457 Plans which charge .55%
to
..95% in administration fees on top of the fund fees.

I have been trying to get a lower cost plan in for years and have learned
that
Fidelity now offers a 457 Plan that they will offer even with the other
457
Plans in place.

Fidelity's 457 cost is ONLY $24.00 a year plus their fund costs (same cost
to
the public). They require that at least 5 employees start the Plan with
each
having at least 24K rollover to the Fidelity's Plan. After that is met,
there
are NO minimums and all the Fidelity funds are offered. If Fidelity is the
only
provider, there are no minimums at startup.

It took me 6mo to get my City to bring on Fidelity but it was well worth
it!
An
example of fees on a 500 index fund is: ICMA 1.03% Nationwide 1.30%
Fidelity .19% plus $24.00

Please do your homework and learn what the fees are in your current
Plan!!!
You
can save a lot of money for you and the employees!
