Newman is alive and well at the US Post Office

by "heyou" <nospam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 8, 2004 at 11:35 AM

The question was.....where in the Postal rules, regulations, laws does it
provide for writing down certain personal information on your payment
check to the p.o. for stamps etc. and can I obtain a copy of that page(s)
to look at.

After four phonecalls to Postmaster of large local postoffice remained
unreturned, I went in person to speak with someone in authority. I was
referred to "a person who is knowledgeable about my problem". Turns out
this person was Newman in mufti. Rude, arrogant , and "I'll get back to
you in a day or two" because "those regulations cant be seen by the
public...they are for postal employees only".......which turned into a
week without a response.

So I phon contact the "customer service" department of the other large
post office in out town of 700,000. They were not much better in their
reply...saying that "I'll have someone reply to you".

No one has gotten back to me......I even call the toll free # in
Wa****ngton.....passse the buck to the locals...who passed the buck...who
passed the buck....

Pretty simple question.....too many college graduates.
