September 2nd, Your voice will be heard!

by "Friday Sept 2nd" <streetmarquee@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 4, 2005 at 09:16 PM

Are you fed-up with your workload increasing 3 fold?

Are you disappointed that your pay has not increased 3 fold?

Are you frustrated because you can't service your customers properly with
this huge workload?

Are you tired of getting poor customer service?

Are you sick of waiting in line?

Are you upset with waiting on hold forever?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you need to join us
for
"National White Collar Walkout Day", September 2, 2005!

It is a day for everyone to call in sick, take the day off or just not
show
up for work. Let this day stand as protest to Cor****ate America.

It is time to let your companies know that you are fed-up, over-worked,
stressed out, and underpaid.

Every day we hear about cor****ations who layoff employees in order to "cut

costs" and "restructure". When your two co-workers get the axe, you get to

pick up the slack! And, guess what?. Your company CEO or president will
get
a huge bonus (usually millions of dollars) for cutting costs! What if they

cut their bonus in half and kept more people employed? Then their company
would have happy customers because there would be enough employees to
provide great customer service. Also, since their people are not in the
unemployment line, then they will purchase products from other companies.
Sales from the other companies will keep the others from laying off their
employees, which means more employed persons to buy your company's
products.

It's time for Cor****ate America to be put on notice. It is time for upper
management and board members to realize that an employee is an "asset" not

an "expense". When will they learn that rewarding upper management for
trimming the staff will only hurt customer service?

Other companies have found this out: Wal-Mart (rarely do you have to wait
in
line and you never have trouble finding a clerk), Steak & Shake (Always
plenty of service and fast), Nordstrom (always great customer service),
Best
Buy (always great staffing), Wendy's and Bob Evans Restaurants
(consistently
great service) and any car dealer****p (have you ever had to wait in line
to
buy a car?).

Then there are the companies that are still learning: Lowe's (try to get
in
and out quickly on the weekend), Meijer's department stores (always a line

to checkout), Burger King (setting records for the longest time one will
wait for fast food), AAA (was on hold for so long that my cell battery
went
dead), and more.

Make your stand on Friday September 2nd! Time to leave your cubical! Let's

make it a National strike day for all (blue collar workers, office
workers,
nurses, everyone!) and maybe Cor****ate America will take notice. It is
time
for everyone to take a four-day weekend. Use this time to spend with your
family, since you are too tired during the week. Or use this time to go
out
and patronize businesses that provide good service and who pay their
people
well. Get out to Wal-Mart (www.walmart.com); eat at Bob Evans
(www.bobevans.com) or Wendy's (www.wendys.com), and go shop for a new car
(www.normalwear.com).

****PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO AT LEAST 20 PEOPLE OR YOUR CURRENT WORKLOAD
WILL
QUADRUPLE AND YOUR STRESS LEVEL WILL INCREASE WHILE YOUR PAYCHECK REMAINS
THE SAME.****

-note- the author of this piece does not endorse any of these companies,
they are used as examples only. Please form your own opinions.
