Sheila's Quick Spinach Dip

by Duckie ® <sundayliving@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 23, 2008 at 07:45 AM

Sheila's Quick Spinach Dip

1 - 10 oz. brick of frozen spinach
2 - 8 oz. bricks of cream cheese (no fat varieties work fine)
seasonings- chili powder, garlic powder, and seasoning salt

Cook spinach on stove or microwave. Drain well. Add cream cheese and
stir until it melts. Add
seasonings. I use healthy amounts of chili powder and garlic powder. I
go light on the seasoning salt.
Stir well and eat immediately hot or chill and eat cold or reheat.
This
reheats well in the microwave.

Some of my favorite variations I have tried are using a little bit of
ranch seasoning packet in the mix instead of above mentioned
seasonings.
One packet easily makes 5-6 batches. I have also used french onion
soup
mix, cu***ber dill seasoning packet mix, or fresh diced garlic and
onions. Make sure if you use seasoning packets that you let the dip
set
a few hours for the seasonings to soften up and to infuse flavor into
the dip. You can add diced tomatoes if they are drained well. Use
your
imagination and try anything you like as an addition to your dip.

Enjoy! from Sheila - tylerpbear@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
