ISRAEL’S INDEPENDENCE FROM WHOM?

July 4th is Independence Day in the United States. A day when the
country’s Fathers set fourth
a Declaration of Independence… from British rule.
India also declared its independence from British rule in 1947.
Finland declared its independence from Russian rule in 1917.
In the early part of the last century Mexico declared its independence
from Spain.
The list is endless…. country after country declaring themselves free from
the grips of another….
On May 14th, 1948, the ‘People’s Council of the Land of Israel’ declared
the following…
ACCORDINGLY, WE, MEMBERS OF THE PEOPLE’S COUNCIL, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
JEWISH COMMUNITY OF
ERETZ-ISRAEL AND OF THE ZIONIST MOVEMENT, ARE HERE ASSEMBLED ON THE DAY OF
THE TERMINATION OF
THE BRITISH MANDATE OVER ERETZ-ISRAEL AND, BY VIRTUE OF OUR NATURAL AND
HISTORIC RIGHT AND ON
THE STRENGTH OF THE RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY,
HEREBY DECLARE THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A JEWISH STATE IN ERETZ-ISRAEL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE STATE
OF ISRAEL.
Termination of the British Mandate over Eretz- Israel (Land of Israel)???
What ‘Land of
Israel’??? Whatever happened to ‘The Land of Palestine’???
In 1938, Mahatma Gandhi wrote the following… “Palestine belongs to the
Arabs in the same sense
that England belongs to the English or France to the French…What is going
on in Palestine today
cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct…If they [the Jews] must
look to the Palestine
of geography as their national home, it is wrong to enter it under the
shadow of the British
gun. A religious act cannot be performed with the aid of the bayonet or
the bomb. They can
settle in Palestine only by the goodwill of the Arabs…As it is, they are
co-sharers with the
British in despoiling a people who have done no wrong to them. I am not
defending the Arab
excesses. I wish they had chosen the way of non-violence in resisting what
they rightly regard
as an unacceptable encroachment upon their country. But according to the
accepted canons of
right and wrong, nothing can be said against the Arab resistance in the
face of overwhelming

So just who was Israel declaring their independence from? The British had
no control over
‘their’ country, according to THIS re****t the country was populated by
Palestinians at the
time… not Israelis.
Just as America itself was stolen from its native population, so was
Israel. In both cases the
‘justification’ continues by dehuminising the victims, both the First
Nation People of North
America and the Palestinians.
Perhaps that explains why the United States government has been the most
loyal sup****ter of
Israel since its inception… perhaps that explains why they allow Israel to
continue with its
genocidal polices against the Palestinians, are they not guilty of the
same crimes against
their own Native population?
There are many ‘whys’ and very few answers coming forth, but the question
remains…
