Do you remember the Batman TV show starring Adam West?
Pow! Bam! Whamm!!!
When Republicans, growing up, came home from school that's what they
experienced from their parents. Pow! Bam! Whamm!!! The fists of the
drunken louts they called Daddy and Mommy wailed into them unmercifully
for some slight they committed. Theirs is a sad and unloving childhood.
Some of them learned that lesson from their parent's beatings and
employed them on their classmates. They were the bullies; Pow! Bam!
Whamm! on the meek and mild.
So they are now grown-up and they now beat their children so small and
weak; Pow! Bam! Whamm!!! When things go wrong, violence makes right.
So it's not surprising that the first rule, amoung their type, is to use
violence on others. There is no negotion or compromise with these
types. Pow! Bam! Whamm!!! Destroy countries and lives. Talk is
cheap, destruction is satisfying.
So I'm not surprised when bush or Horatio or JimE or others pooh-pooh
dimploacy as a liberal approach to life. Communcation with others is
for sissies. Fists in the face are more effective.
Why talk to someone when you can beat them up and steal from them like
they did as bullies in school?
It's just their child rearing in action. They'll live and die by the
sword. There is no peace in their lives or hearts.
I don't see anything wrong with diplomacy. When two people talk, they
can work things out. Beating each other up doesn't do much except
foster more hate. Then again, I didn't live in a household like the
bullies that met Batman in their parents; Pow! Bam! Whamm!!!.
