GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: Some seem to
believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if
some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.
We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of
appeasement.
When you read this crock of phony indignation, keep in mind that Bush
never
said anything about Obama in his remarks.
Barak Obama: George Bush knows that I have never sup****ted engagement with
terrorists, and the president's extraordinary politicization of foreign
policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people
or
our stalwart ally Israel.
Notice how Obama is guilty of exactly what he's accusing Bush of?
NANCY PELOSI, (D) HOUSE SPEAKER: I think what the president did in that
regard is beneath the dignity of the office of president, and unworthy of
our representation at that observance in Israel.
Gasp!
"His top foreign policy adviser, Susan Rice, said this morning on MSNBC
that
Obama will deliver a "very vigorous response to what was an outrageous,
unprecedented, and divisive attack from President Bush yesterday which was
patently dishonest.""
"Dishonest"? Uh huh.. Who's being dishonst here?
"But in an opinion piece published today in The Wa****ngton Post, former
Clinton State Department official James Rubin accused McCain of hypocrisy
and attempting to smear Obama."
Smear Obama? Smear Obama?!
