  You seriously expect oilman Bush to push for reform in the oil 
industry....  That would be a conflict of interest on his part... Oil is 
going through the same bubble as housing and banking
once everyone realizes how bad the ripples effect is from oil profits the 
industy will settle back
down to something more normal. It's not OPEC that is causing the problems,

it's speculators
that are taking advantage, to boost the price of gas to bring in bucks for

oil companies and their
stock holders. The oil company is also at fault by not having enough 
refineries to keep up with
growth in America ... You would think that with record profits they would 
invest some in building and upgrading American refineries. But they are in

no rush to do so because they now have a way
to control their profit share....

 Right now they are in a position to make up for years of losses, and once

the realization sets in
 on how oil is degrading life in this country things will setlle down 
eventually but you have seen
 the last of "cheap" gas... I do see gas jumping to $5 or $6 a gallon
before 
the market starts to
 settle. I look for an eventual average price somewhere around $3 a gallon

when it's all said and
 done....
