I'd confirm much of what you say

Here in Australia one of the largest Churches - and the owners of a vast
amount of real estate - is the "Uniting Church" - formed by combining most
of the Methodist Presbytarians and Congregational churches

Irrespective of the manner in which property has been donated to the
churches and of the aims of the benefactors this church has been disposing
of its property in what is often a completely unthinking and unfeeling
manner with respect to the communities in which that property - often land
- is found.

The Church is quite brutal in its pursuit of mammon - often breaching its
own foundation charter of which they are the sole effective "regulator". 
It not only uses its clout to rezone the land it sells - to maximise
profits it also sells to such as the "Hare Khrishnas."  Both items are
aguably forbidden by the charter.  And of course they receive tax
exemption for their deals

The Head of its Finance and Property Department even became the church
head - the "Moderator" as it is called.  With this, the church as an
organisation effectively ceased to be a spiritually based entity and
became a property group - part of the informal network of property dealing
that amongst other things turnsa blind  eye to the use of proerty
investment to launder criminal funds and drug money

The Finance and Property department is quite large, having executive
offices in the City centres. The money realised by selling the churches 
birthright - its "mess of potage" as the Bible puts it - will indeed be
swallowed up in paying exorbitant church salaries - and of course this
practice meets with the approval of the churches business executives in
all areas - The poor however get SOUP.  I'd fling it back in their faces -
however poor I was. How dare they! What hypocrisy

It is sad for the churches, and sad for the communities.  Christianity has
become a decadent capitalist venture where once it set spiritual example. 
As Christianity strangles itself in a refusal to reform the property
barons are moving in to harvest the assetts

Never since the time of Henry the Eighth was such a "dissolution" in
progress and this time it is the churches themselves. through "property
executives" that are doing it. Oh and don't worry the executives don't
forget to go to services on sunday to thank God for his bounty so they
will still go to Heaven

My advice - give the bastards NOTHING - put only pennies in the collection
plates until the churches throw these business executives out on their ear
and reclaim thir land and asetts for proper use.
