9/11 links for beginners ?

In another Yahoo libertarian group, I prepared a set of links for a
member who asked for information about 9/11 truth, a subject
with which he was unfamiliar.

I thought I'd share below what I wrote, both because it might be
helpful to someone here, and also to seek feedback from others
here who may have better ideas about how to introduce the subject
online to beginners, especially beginners with libertarian leanings.

(I will mention that the one anti-9/11 truth link here, the Cockburn
essay about which I posted here recently, is listed right after a
Griffin essay which eviscerates specifically several of the main points
Cockburn tries to make, so that, if read in that sequence, Cockburn's
enviable rhetorical skill should be to no avail.)

I've prepared here what I think is a good group of introductory links
about what's terribly wrong with the official account of what happened
on 9/11. I've done this with what I hope is an eye to someone unfamiliar
with the controversy.

I've divided this into two general categories: written texts, and videos.

1) Texts

The best place to start, I suppose, is with David Ray Griffin, who's
written
several outstanding books on the subject. (Not online, I'm afraid.)

Here's an interview with him from a few years ago, not long after the
publication of his first 9/11 book:

Here's a longish article from about a year ago from the magazine
Tikkun (he's writing for a leftist audience, but bear in mind that his
discussion of leftist gatekeepers can just as well apply to libertarian
ones):

(Before we go further, here's an essay by leftist journalist Alexander
Cockburn, mentioned in the Griffin article just cited, that tries to
paint 9/11 official story doubters as "nuts," so that you know
something of what the defenders of the official story tend to say:

)

There are profound difficulties at every level of the 9/11 events. But
because these difficulties are so spectacular respecting those events
at the World Trade Center (WTC), it's probably best for a beginner to
the subject to look at them first.

Here a structural engineer discusses the WTC:

And here a civil engineer does:

2) Videos

Here's a full lecture on the whole subject of 9/11 by James Fetzer, an
academic whose specialty is the philosophy of science:

Now more things focused on the WTC. First, a video in two parts that gives

an excellent overview of that:

Part 2 -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ4dVo5QgYg

Here's a powerful short film about some WTC anomalies:

And here's another:

Here's a full-length documentary about the WTC collapses, which even
mentions a couple of witnesses from the last-mentioned short films:

Finally, here's a two-hour lecture by an architect about the WTC and its
collapse:
