Joseph Stieglitz, a *good* economist, suggests that GM be allowed to make
use of the bankruptcy laws.
Bankruptcy need not mean shutting down.
It can simply be re-organization under Chapter 11.
General Motors badly needs re-organization. Under new and competent
management supervised by a court.
The bankruptcy laws are there for a purpose. Use them.
