CDU/CSU - Please shut up!

by ESL the CD <eslaporte@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 13, 2007 at 04:53 AM

Once again in Germany it is the SPD party that is on the right side of
things. Also - it is the SPD that has also chosen the most correct
path of accepting the idea that Susanne Albrecht is not a terrorist
anymore. Albrecht is 56 year old woman, has given up terrorism and has
a productive life as a teacher, something Germany's phony "Christian
Democrats" actually object to. This reformed, former Red Army Faction
terrorist is teaching German to migrant children, and apparently doing
a good job at it too. The story of Susanne Albrecht is a success story
of how a former violent offender is now a productive and contributing
member of German society. HATS OFF!

Now, there are objects by some politicians regarding the rehabilitated
offender's creating of a law abiding life for herself. Yep, some
politicians in Germany actually believe that is a bad thing that a
former Red terrorist is now a productive member of the community.
The Bremen elections have brought the very best in Germany's phony
"Christian Democrats." It is the "Christian Democrats" of the CDU/CSU
that are causing the trouble, demanding a mean and nasty ending to the
Albrecht success story. The "Christian Democrat" candidate: Thomas
R=F6wekamp, stated, "Parents don't want their children to be taught by
RAF terrorists."

Oh well - Thomas R=F6wekamp, you phony "Christian Democrat," sit down
and shut-up - and please stop calling yourself a Christian Democrat!

Now the parents don't have the same mean and nasty viewpoint as the
"Christian Democrat" candidate. Yep - the parents of this school that
are supposed to be outraged had their own statement from Deutsche
Welle:

"Parents at the school where Albrecht works recently issued a
statement, saying they were outraged that Albrecht's past was being
used as a campaign issue in the Bremen elections. Albrecht "should
continue her very successful work with the children of our school,"
the statement said."

Now, then - to the phonies pretending to be "Christian Democrats" -
SHUT UPPPP - and stop disgracing the name of Christian Democrat!!!

That American smell in Germany: The whole notion that former
criminal offenders should never again be full human beings is an
American cultural value, and among not Christian Democratic values.
The best and most human form of criminal punishment is that is
restorative, not excessively punitive. The American notions of
criminal punishment pits "victim v. offender" and is always couched in
excessive meanness, vengeance - and especially unforgiveness. Since
many Americans believe in the notion that "some people are garbage"

Once again this episode demonstrates the lack of basic understanding
on the part of the CDU/CSU of what are supposed to be advocated by
Christian Democrats. Restorative justice is something that all decent
human beings believe in. Here in Milwaukee, the Restorative justice
project is run by a Lutheran minister - who is works with the
prosecutor's office. The restorative justice paradigm here in America
gets only good reviews (all humans agree with it) and it leaves
communities better off for it. Perhaps the CDU/CSU needs a crash
course - oh, well - it has been my impression that the CDU/CSU needs a
crash course in just everything about being real Christian Democrats....
