Not true. Osama didn't start getting bent about the US until after
the Gulf War when we didn't close our bases in Saudi Arabia. Until
then, he was a US ally.

You can find all kinds of crap conspiracy pages on the net. Osama
acted because of the bases in SA. He declared war on the US in 96 and
targeted military and government installations. Failing to have any
effect, he helped develop the 9/11 attacks. When even that failed to
get the bases moved and security had gotten so tight he couldn't do
anything else here, his group started a series of terrorist attacks in
SA leading to the Saudis asking Bush to close the bases.
Thus Iraq. If the country could be invaded and subjugated, the bases
could be moved there so we'd still have bases in the region. We don't
NEED any bases in the ME. The Gulf War shows that clearly enough.

There is one value to having conspiracy theorists around. They can be
so entertaining.
