Your data is behind the times. According to CNN yesterday, fully 51%
(that's now the MAJORITY) of Californians no longer object to same-***
marriage.
The appellate courts are usually AHEAD of the curve on issues
regarding
hatefulness and bigotry. Look at the more than three decades of grief and
a hodgepodge of "free" and "slave" states that the U.S. Supreme Court
spared America when it EMANCIPATED girls and women with Roe vs. Wade,
in 1973!
Americans are RAPIDLY learning that it is both pointless and vicious
to discriminate against people in ANY way over such a TRIVIALITY as ***ual
orientation. Which is merely a harmless *variation* of *normalcy* -- just
like eye color, skin color, and handedness.
America finally IS outgrowing mindless bigotries. At last!
(And just for the record, I'm a "straight," egalitarian, father of
three and grandfather of seven.)
