Comments by Iconoclast and Strabo are well taken.. also many. many
illegals drive huge gas guzzlers,, SUV's ,, others have their own lawn
care "business" and pull vanlike storage trailers behind their van s and
trucks. Lots of fuel will be saved by the de****tation of the illegals,
but it won't bring prices down = it will lessen our "dependance". And
reduce our worrisome "trade deficit" some what..
Furthermore illegals, the men, drive their passengers cars with No
Regard whatever for the reckless way they burn gasoline. ( some
Americans as well)
In my area, highway traffic is Way Down after morning & evening rush
hours. People living "from paycheck to paycheck" are being hurt the most
by high gas prices. Driving techniques to conserve on fuel usage is a
topic in itself. People grumbling about high gas costs may not even be
aware that the way they drive can have a significant ( probably not
decisive) effect on frequent necessity for "fillups". (And conservation
is probably not the answer) We need Big changes in our fuel supply
itself and the 2 oil men in the White House were worse than no help.
They were certainly not Big Thinkers on the consequences of steadily
increasing dependance on oil im****ts over time by USA.
Today's NYMEX market, 15 May,, "light sweet crude" closed down 10 cents
a barrel, but latent, and dangerous "buying power" is shown every day
by the intra-day high price,, often a New Trading high, before the
retreat at the close. If retreat be in the cards. I won't waste time
arguing with API fans who are still disputing whether Supply and Demand
is the basic determiner of world oil prices.
