Re: India, Aryabhatta, Gandhi - Non-achievers

by Balwant Dixit <bdixit@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 16, 2005 at 06:08 PM

To say that, ".......... the decline of India was because of its
thinkers failing to follow Hindu ethics as mentioned in the Vedas and
they resorted to narrow means of greed and fatalism" is just an excuse.
Hindu ethics and the Vedas have nothing to do with the present situation
in India. What lack of sanitation, polluted drinking water, neglect of
education, caste system and many other ills of the present day India
have to do with Vedic knowledge or Hindu ethics? To suggest such a
relation****p is an excuse for the failure of the entire society. What
specific concepts in Hindu ethics would have changed the situation? What
specific Vedic knowledge would have kept India at the top? Virendra,
please explain. So this mumbo jumbo about Hindu ethics and so called
Vedic knowledge is just an excuse. Look at the younger generation. They
are going after technical knowledge, they are becoming experts in modern
health care and making advances in other areas of knowledge. If this
continues some day India will come at the top not by following this so
called "Hindu ethics and Vedic knowledge." .....BND
