India, Aryabhatta, Gandhi - Non-achievers - 2

by "Andromedan" <andromedan@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 16, 2005 at 05:44 PM

Thanks for the responses to my earlier post.

One still cannot explain why India is the biggest and most widely ignored
country in the world. Even laughed at.

India does not even figure as a country or nation that can effect change
or
take leader****p on any global issue.

If its leaders had any real political sense then they would have withdrawn

from the United Nations long time ago - instead of subjecting the country
to
the continual insult of not even granting it a permanent seat in the
Security Council. The world's largest democracy kept out of the UNSC?
Surely
cannot be much of a country then.

Indians may not be really united too and may lack the convictions of their

beliefs. Maybe that is why a mere handful if the British were able to
enslave such a large nation for almost a hundred years.

And my original post did not compare or relate the culture of India to any

empire.

Almost every invasion of India can be traced to the inherent weakness in
its
peoples to defend themselves.

Can anyone (even the mighty USA) even think of taking on China?

The absence of effective leaders (which I mentioned in my OP) is a
reflection of the quality of thought prevalent amongst the peoples.
Indians
cannot fight off invaders but its so-called leaders are its true strongmen
-
they can fight off their own people to rise to the top and ruin the
nation.
But they lack the guts to take on external threats - physical or
ideological.

Even the Pakistanis know this - look at them talking big in their
political
missiles aimed at India. Even the US teamed up with them in the fight
against terrorism. When Al Qaeda attacks the US it is termed worldwide as
an
act of terrorism. But when they attack India, it is termed as a freedom
fight.

Has it escaped India's attention that it might not be seen as a reliable
ally in the fight against terrorism?

If at all possible the mighty Indians should be retreating inside their
cocoons now.

No wonder nobody thinks India amounts to anything aside from an
afterthought.

If one really wants to compare peoples - look at the Israelis. A mere
twenty
million people have the conviction, belief and the courage to stand up to
a
billion Arabs routinely.

I think one is indeed, dubiously, fortunate to be in a period of history -

the beginning of the elimination of the nation as a whole. And - the
majority of the global community probably would never even notice this
passing.

Very sad that the lack of leader****p should condemn a whole nation to take

the first steps towards its grave.

Maybe if the younger generation who have ****ed away from the ancient
nonsense and instead taken on the trends of the day - as information
technology and biotechnology - might make a minor media dent. But there
are
no political leaders who are doing likewise. They are still buried in
their
own solid body wastes up to their necks.

One need to take a very deep and unemotional look at present global
affairs
and trends to even begin to know and understand what I am talking about.

Live long and prosper. Damn the Vulcans for stealing our line.

Andromedan.
