Those are interesting pages, and have interesting links,
which may be of considerable use to me, as I make a
serious hobby of being cheap. (On the other hand, I
choose to live in New York City, with its still-astronomical
real estate prices.) I'm aware of some people who live
communally and beat a lot of taxes and other expenses,
since their per-capita income is very low.
What I haven't figured out is how to popularize the idea
that people can walk away from the state. I've had a
lot of ideas, but when I look around, I can't see any
effect.
