I'm assuming you are referring to the folks from the San Angelo
Mormon community. Since it is apparent that the Texas "law enforcement"
community will get away with this, it's worth remembering what
happened a few years ago at Mt. Carmel, also in Texas, in which a
number of men, women and children were essentially murdered by
agents of the BATF. It's also worth remembering what the reaction of
a large percentage of the populace outside and inside Texas was to this
act. Overwhelmingly, people, especially leftists, sup****ted the actions
of the BATF, in fact, reveled in the murders. I don't have a whole lot
in common with small religious communities, but I would certainly
understand if they felt uncomfortable much in the manner of Jews
in Nazi Germany. What surprises me is the fact that many people see
a difference between Democrats and Republicans in this arena of an
ever-expanding police state in the U.S. It's simply not there. Oh
well, it was a good run.
