The govt "lets" us have all the guns we *need*. We see guns as tools,
not just as ego boosters, or intimidators, or even for self defense.
Because we don't give guns away like candy to anyone and everyone, we
don't feel the need to have to defend ourselves and our property with
guns, unlike in the US with your open borders, your dime-a-dozen cheap
street guns, your gun crazy culture, and your large population of
economically desperate people. Nor do we have a system of govt so
corrupt and power mad that we feel the need to bear arms to protect
ourselves from the threat posed by our own political system.

The only gun problem we have in Canada are the cheap guns coming in
from the US.

The US has the highest death by gun rate in the world.
