The Supreme Court weighed in against President Andrew Jackson's
mistreatment of Native Americans in the US SouthEast. He ignored the
Court, saying they should send their own army if they wanted things
done differently. This was not done in isolation but in the context of
racism, setting the people of Georgia up for their own devastation in
the American Civil War. Self-interest needs not to be stupid foolish.

What actually matters is what the people won't let the government get
away with. If people are not educated, paying attention and smart
enough in the way things actually work in the World, then might makes
right. When you have an educated military dedicated to the people and
the Constitution, multiple levels of government via States, counties,
regions, cities, a free economy and a free people acting with strength
on their own behalf, then a Republic might survive.
