Have you seen the guys from N.O.R.M.L.? Hell they look like they came
straight from Wall Street. definitely not the Tommy Chong types that
we used to see promoting it back in the 80s.
Currently there is still too much stigma that causes people to have
the typical knee jerk "hell no" response when legalization is
mentioned. Plus anytime anyone introduces a bill to decriminalize or
legalize pot some other asshole always tacks on a rider making heroin
and cocaine legal as well. Not because they are that "liberal" in
their thinking on drugs but because it is a garaunteed death sentence
to the pot bill. A lot of folks stand to lose a ****load of money
should pot/hemp ever becomes legal again. They can afford heavy
political influence and they use it to keep marijuana illegal.
The multibillion doillar a year drug screening industry, to name one,
will fight tooth fang and claw against any efforts to legalize
pot/hemp\ since the majority of drug testing is to target pot smokers.
And then there are the organized crime types that stand to lose even
more should the gov't make it legal.
I wouldn't hold my breath(except to hold onto that last hit<G>)
waiting for any landmark legislation regarding hemp farming.
