by bobbie sellers <bliss@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 18, 2008 at 08:48 AM

I thought this would have shown up online by now but since I couldn't
find it decided to put it up myself.

Subject: Prestigious medical organization endorses medical marijuana

Dear B. Sellers:

One of the country's most elite and prestigious physician organizations
-- with a member****p of 124,000 internists, the second largest physician
group and the largest medical specialty organization in the U.S. -- just
threw its sup****t behind medical marijuana access.

Visit http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=6BJQOleLj6o6P3EP2rhjHw..
to find
out which organization made this exciting move and to read the details
of its re****t.

To date, this is the most significant organizational endorsement of
medical marijuana access in the field of medicine and science. To
discover the organization's identity, please visit MPP's home page at
http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=tffIbqRCmx8USuTlPMDIog..
now.

In its landmark re****t -- which now comprises the organization's
official position -- the group calls for (1) full legal protection for
medical marijuana patients, (2) changing marijuana's federal
classification as a Schedule I drug (which currently puts it in the same
category as heroin and LSD), and (3) increased funding for medical
marijuana research.

The position paper says quite simply that the organization "strongly
urges protection from criminal or civil penalties for patients who use
medical marijuana as permitted under state laws." Visit
http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=VAeXD9a6-J-9HEhZnUOkLQ..
to read the
organization's full position paper.

In the months leading up to this enormously im****tant release, MPP
supplied the organization's physician members with studies, research,
and position papers from other organizations. This is a major step in
our work to build a powerful coalition of national organizations that
endorse medical marijuana access.

Visit http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=8yl9taZ_8KAto-CwXTH2uA..
to read
an article in the Los Angeles Times about the organization's new position.

This im****tant victory is exactly the kind of result that the MPP staff
works toward every day. Would you please consider making a monthly
pledge of $5 or more on your credit card at
http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=EaG1KwQVbbsE1UpHZRZEUQ..
, in
recognition of our efforts in this area?

I am grateful for your sup****t.

Sincerely,

Rob Kampia

P.S. As I've mentioned in previous alerts, a major philanthropist has
committed to match the first $3.0 million that MPP can raise from the
rest of the planet in 2008. This means that your monthly pledge at
http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=REcQab5uCvVfy8e-aoIFaQ..
will be doubled.

P.P.S. You can opt out of receiving fundraising mentions in the e-mail
alerts I send you in 2008 by visiting
http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=V0Fwk-SA66oBZE5CEeCzLw..
at your
convenience.
