The US Supreme Court has rejected a challenge to the use of lethal
injections to execute prisoners.

The court rejected by 7-2 the case made by two death row inmates in the
state of Kentucky.

They sued the state in 2004, saying the commonly used combination of
three chemical injections violated the US constitution's ban on cruel
punishment.

of Russian oil giant Lukoil,

10m barrels a day from the world’s number two oil producing country is
as good as it gets in his lifetime he reckons. He’s 52 but given the

dust around the main gun barrel, the film goes blank -- apparently at
the moment Shana was hit.

Whose mass graves are these?
Wednesday, 16 April 2008 11:43

The phrase "mass graves" in Iraq has long been associated with former
leader Saddam Hussein. But not anymore. In U.S.-administered and
occupied Iraq people now talk of 'Bush’s mass graves.’

More and more mass graves are being unearthed with hundreds of bodies,
most of them unidentified, but all of them dug in the post-Saddam era
which Iraqis associate with President Bush and his occupation troops.

US Fed Responsible for the Credit Crisis
Wednesday, 16 April 2008 11:41

The net effect of all this new funding has been to pump hundreds of
billions of dollars into the financial system and bail out banks whose
poor decision making should have caused them to go out of business.
Instead of being forced to learn their lesson, these poor-performing
banks are being rewarded for their financial mismanagement, and the
ultimate cost of this bailout will fall on the American taxpayers.
Already this new money flowing into the system is spurring talk of the
next speculative bubble, possibly this time in commodities.

im****ts. It has a 45pc biofuel target for corn by 2015.
