By the time we gays get around at establi****ng an independent
macrostate of ours,the current system of collective
security embodied in the UN might as well have dissapeared long ago.The
world will have by then reverted to the
previous and more reliable historical system based on the balance of
power and on realpolitiks.Perhaps it is as well that way,since in its
interaction with the current international geopolitical system,such a
gay organisation like the ILGA,devoted to gay rights,reaped humiliation
while seeking only modest goals not even related to
self-determination,and not deserving such an humiliation at the hands
of the sponsor of the UN,the government of the United
States.Clearly,and in this world,there are only national
interests.Universal interests such as those embodied in the UN are only
fictions,behind which hides itself some genuine national interest,today
the one of the United States,tomorrow the one of some successor of the
US.
