Message # 115

February 18,2007

Arriving as refugees and immigrants in some gay independent State of
the future, and in our mid or late teens,we would at once find a
secondary and high school level through which we would be formaly
educated by our elders in matters pertaining to our ***ual
orientation, its struggles and its challenges. Our past historical
experience would have long ago crystalized in political doctrine and
ideology, and in courses of civic duties and history 101 with its myths
and national heroes. With its exploits,to be reenacted as long as
mankind will exist and history will go on.As long as there will be a
gay willing to live in freedom and independence.Little room would be
left then to other modes of analysis and mastering of reality, such as
instinct. But we live now in year 2007.And for the time being, instinct
remains our main back up system. It is not entirely incompatible with
reason. And it is more attuned to our present and primitive political
situation. One mode of thinking and analysis we cannot however retain
is a magical,religious or otherwise non-secular or superstitious.At
all steps of establi****ng a gay independence movement, and especially
in its earliest ones where we are likely to appear as lunatics,we are
to stick to a combination of cold-blooded reason and instinct. But go
no further than compromise with instinct.
