Neutrality ought to be the best option for a gay independent State at
least in principle. In practice, some issues of implementation might
arise with neutrality. The most im****tant is that a State has to be
self-sufficient in matters related to defense in order to remain
outside military alliances, and from that point on to avail itself of
such a luxury item like neutrality.Such countries like Switzerland
have been neutral for a long time. But Switzerland also has compulsory
military service and participation in military manoeuvers and training
for its citizens.Which means that the citizens of a gay and neutral
independent nation could be made to undergo, say for example, regular
exams in marksman****p.For neutrality is of no value to the rest of the
world if it is not defended in a credible manner. The rationale behind
neutrality and for us gays is that conflicts and tensions between
hethro States, societies or groups aren`t really of interest of of
consequence to us.Whatever their outcome, the result will always be in
the end some hethro demographic and political regime foreign to us and
to our way of life. So,whatever means of political action or of defense
we have should remain exclusively in the service of our own
interest, and not be waisted in the service of others or of political
causes which aren`t ours anyway. In real international life, certain
conflicts between hethro States or societies could reach such a
magnitude that a gay independent State might be sucked into them and
thus compelled to take sides.Interaction with foreign hethro
societies, which have been generaly and historicaly hostile to us,will
require at least a few of these societies to be and remain more or
less friendly toward us.To the point that we could have a vested
interest in the maintenance of their political regimes.
