Let me preface what I am about to say by saying that I think that Jimmy
Carter is a great humanitarian, and I believe that he is worthy of the
Nobel
Prize. With that being said, I would like to point out how ****ing stupid
he was as President of the United States.
I was 13 years old in 1976. Most of you liberal idiots weren't even
born yet. I was on my way to high school when Jimmy Carter beat out Gerald
Ford for President. Lets face it. The constant hammering by the media of
Ford hitting people with golf balls and the fact that the man fell down
almost constantly made Ford look like an idiot. Couple that with the fact
that he pardoned Nixon and it wouldn't have made any difference who ran
against him... even Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale.
Jimmy carter won the election and God bless the man, he had a heart of
gold and he wanted to do nothing more than make everyone happy. I believe
this to be his biggest weakness. That and Walter Mondale. Poor old
Walter
was so liberal that even the liberals didn't like him.
One of the first things most of America got out of Carter was that the
man couldn't say the word "Nuclear". He would say "nuculer". The media
chalked this up to his "southern roots". All throughout out Carter's
Presidency the media kept trying to tell America that "Jimmy was a
brilliant
thinker". He came in and plundered the nation and all the while the
media
would use sharp criticism but still treat him with kid gloves. It was
awful.
Jimmy would do press conferences and when he would get in trouble he
would smile and you would think that somehow the channel had changed (
remote controls for TV were somewhat primitive at this point in history)
and
you were switched to a Chicklett's commercial. Carter's teeth were like
billboards. When Cater would have a Rose Garden press conference and he
smiled the re****ters would regress into a game of "Red Light Green Light".
It was blinding. The press said little. Dan Ackroid would goof on him on
SNL, but the organized media made sure that although it was humorous, it
was
to be taken lightly.
My point is this. The media still to this day will not acknowledge
the
FACT that Carter was a good human being but a bad President. I think that
Mondale was a bad influence.
I was watched live TV when Neil Armstrong stepped off of the lunar
Module on to the surface of the moon. I used to watch Vietnam on TV
every
night. I watched Nixon say " I am not a crook" LIVE. I sat in gas lines
under Carter and air****t lines under Reagan. I watched Warren Berger rip
the Nixon administration into the earth. I lived through the Son of Sam,
The Night Stalker, and Charles Manson. I have survived 8 major earthquakes
and about 100 smaller ones. I remember Patty Hearst and the SLA, Jim
Morrisons death and more **** than most of you think you know about
anything
you constantly squabble about in these forums.
I am 42 years old. Does this make me smarter? I can answer that with
an emphatic NO!!! But it does make me wiser. I have seen about 28 years
of
broken promises and empty rhetoric from political hacks that should be
****ning your shoes rather then running the country. ALL politicians
suck!!! It doesn't matter which side of the isle they are on. They base
their entire existence on broken promises. They are like used car
salesman.
They sell you a piece of **** car, and when it breaks down as you pull off
the lot they pretend they don't know who you are.
So don't sit in these usenet and try and convince me that your guy is
better than his guy is better than this guy or that guy. I have more
respect for an eighty year old man flipping Burgers at McDonalds to make
ends meet than ANY living politician.
ONE MORE THING!!! I live in the 26th congressional district of
California and I have been held prisoner by Congressman David Dreier for
more than 20 years. Although I am a conservative (NOT A REPUBLICAN) and
Dreier is a republican, he is a load on two feet that needs to be removed
from congress. He has consistently thumbed his nose at his constituents
for
the last 12 years, starting with NAFTA. 87% of this district wanted him
to
vote no on NAFTA and he told us that "Sometimes the people just don't know
what is good for America". I have voted for the democrat for the last ten
years. If there is anyone that can help me get this asswipe out of
office
I would greatly appreciate it.
