I love this nation, but I have nothing but contempt for the government .
You do not become a "dissident" just because you decide one day to
take up this most unusual career.
You are thrown into it by your personal sense of responsibility,
combined with a complex set of external cir***stances.
You are cast out of the existing structures and placed in a position of
conflict with them. It begins as an attempt to do your work well,
and ends with being branded an enemy of society.
Philosophical question: If a Bush commits a crime and no one hears

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can
change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. HK.
The bottom line is simply this: regardless of political ideology - if
one is not part of the wealthy elite inner circle of Wa****ngton, DC
we have NO government representative of the majority of this nation.

media after the anthrax attacks that they were going to eliminate
"constituent mail" to Congress and federal agencies as yet another
barrier between DC and those they pur****t to represent.
That is where I drew the line and will stand on it until either they
go down in defeat or I will be living elsewhere.
