The White House chose the daily newspapers
"Le Parisien" to print a full page Ad by Bu$h :
"Our engagement will be durable".
This Ad allows the President to talk to the French
people ...
Once again, he missed an occasion to be keep silent.
In this carefully orchestrated platform, George says
his compassion (it costs nothing !) towards all the
victims of the seism in Asia and Bu$h dares to thanks
France for its participation for the relief aid.
This is more scandalous when one knows that the
French -- and Europeans non governmental organisations --
were already in South Asia on December 27, the
following day of the catastrophe.
The French NGO were already in Sri Lanka, in
Thailand and Maldives (Indonesia and India refused
help at that times) with doctors, with tons of drugs,
with tons of mineral water (bottles), with systems
to purify water, etc
If Bu$h sought to remake "his virginity", once again
he had missed. The United States had a chief executive
but hardly a head of state !
The Bush administration's initial reaction to the
tsunami disaster was to pledge $ 400,000 for relief aid.
After a couple of days, the amount has been increased
to $ 15 million ...
Following this, Bush used his favorite words, again :
"We will prevail over this destruction ... " and he
announced that the aid package would be $ 35 million ...
Much later, $ 350 million : Dont be fooled again, the
US spent 15% of what they claimed they had spent
for Iran Earthquake
Now, the USA is making a televised show in the
Province of Aceh in Indonesia. Why ?
Because around this part of Indonesia (and off shores)
they are Indonesia's oil and gas reserves (which are
already in the hands of the american companies).
Indonesia wants to quietly continue to kill the activists
in the Province of Aceh, whom has fought for 30 years to
obtain the independence of the province. Indonesia will
not accept the US presence for more than 2 or 3 months.
But USA want to increase business with Indonesia and
sell more weapons and helicopters (Indonesia really
needs helicopters -- or says so to keep NGO away
from Aceh ...)
Ethic (sorry ! English is not my first language)
We watch FOX so you don't have to !.
Media Lies About "Initial" Bush Tsunami Aid Package
On the Monday, 27 December 2004 edition of this program :
Fox re****ter Megyn Kendall delivered a re****t during
Your World w/Neil Cavuto on the horrible tsunami in
Asia. Kendall re****ted that the United States gave
$400,000 in immediate aid today and expects to give
an additional $4 million in the near future. In the end,
Kendall re****ted, we would likely give a total of $15
million.

Bush never fails. "Never fails, that is, to reduce
world catastrophes and international dramas
to the lowest common denominators of petty
petulance, malevolence and spite."

The disaster has been compounded by chaotic
mismanagement by the Indonesian authorities
and the legacy of decades of violent conflict.
A war has been raging in the territory since the
1970s between the Indonesian military and the
separatist Free Aceh Movement, GAM.
The Indonesian government's response to the
crisis has been slow, lacked coherence and
demonstrated a reluctance, for political reasons
associated with the conflict, to involve the
international community. Currently just two
helicopters have been deployed to assist with
the immense relief and rehabilitation operation.

All In The Timing
Timing is everything, as they say. The day before
East Timor celebrated the anniversary of its
independence from Indonesia, the Jakarta government
launched an all-out attack on another independence
movement, this time in Aceh, a northern Sumatran
province rich in oil and natural gas. The 30-50,000
Indonesian troops, covered by war****ps and fighter
jets, constitute the largest military operation since,
yes, the invasion of East Timor in 1975. Their
overarching mission has been clearly defined by
General Endriartono Sutarto: "You must chase and
wipe out GAM [the Free Aceh Movement]... you are
trained to kill, so wipe them out."

The Jakarta Post May 24, 2003
At midnight on May 18, after tense talks between
the authorities and the leaders of the Free Aceh
Movement (GAM) rebels in Tokyo had broken down,
President Megawati Soekarnoputri placed Aceh
under martial law and gave the Indonesian Military
(TNI) the green light to launch what could be the
country's largest military operation since the 1975
invasion of East Timor.
