Apparently you don't.  If you don't know what the purpose is of a 
newsgroup, go do a Google search to find either its charter or FAQ.

To WHICH group do you actually submit your reply post?  Was it to the 
alt.privacy.spyare newsgroup?  No, you posted to one of the other 
cross-posted groups for which Ethic's post might be on-topic.  The 
purpose of the alt.privacy.spyware group is to discuss INTERNET privacy 
and SPYWARE, not problems with whistleblowing through supposed gov't 
"channels".

Read the the following regarding what is on-topic to the 
alt.privacy.spyqare newsgroup at:
