Front page article ("Fireworks Erupt at Southie Parade") re****ts
during St. Patrick's Day Parade gay Irish-Americans were pelted
with fireworks, beer bottles, beer cans, rubber gloves and insults.
Article also re****ted man holding up sign, "South Boston Hetero***uals"
was greeted by wild cheering along parade route. Other spectators,
some carrying children, waved signs such as, "AIDS Cures Gays,"
and "Quarantine the Queers."

They also had signs saying "God says Kill Fags" and
"St. Patrick was Straight".
*****cat priests of the Catholic Church, those
decent, values-laden champions of God and morality,
were there -looking the other way, not saying a word.
GOP candidate Huckabee has talked about HIV concentration
camps. You wouldn't know it - the Boston Globe uses a
euphemism like "isolating" people with AIDS. Sort of
like "enhanced interrogation techniques". The words
"torture" or "concentration camp" sound so harsh to
the sensitive ears of Americans, who have their chests so puffed up
with nationalistic pride and a sense of their superior decency.
The Globe does not have an enquiring enough of a mind
to ask- Does Huckabee really care about stopping AIDS?
Or is it just hate, to the tune of "Quarantine the Queers"?
Huckabee doesn't particularly want money for AIDS prevention,
or AIDS education, or AIDS research. Just for
concentation camps. The media cannot seem to connect those dots,
and neither can the gay population.
Americans in the 2000's are no better than Germans of the 1930's.
