God talks to my spirit from time to time, as He will do to any that
follow Him. The thing He says the most is, "You are my friend." Here
is what Jesus said about the friends of God...
John 15:13-15 – NCV
"The greatest love a person can show is to die for his friends. You
are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you
servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing.
But I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I
heard from my father."
Proverbs 17:17 says, "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is
born for adversity."
God, as our friend, is a security that cannot be measured. You always
have someone to watch your back. He is more powerful than anyone that
could come gainst you. It's like saying, "This is my large, strong
friend." Do you pick fights with those with strong friends? No.
The friend will get you. Well, God is your friend, if you do what He
says.
Proverbs 18:24
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a
friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
"It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all
things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most
excellent Theophilus [friend of God], That thou mightest know the
certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed."
