Think about what God has gone through for you. He suffered and died.
You may say, well he didn't stay dead, but that is true for all of us.
All of us will live forever in either heaven or hell. We were
created in the image of the eternal being and will live out that
creation.
However, God took scorn, thorns, whips and nails for your sins. He
didn't have to leave heaven, but He did. Consider the love that would
drive that to occur. Do you think He would not do more for you?
The God who chose to die for your restoration, healing, and adoption
(Titus 2:13-14, 1 Peter 2:24-25, Galatians 4:4-7) wants you to
succeed. He's invested a lot in you to ensure your success. May we
grow that investment to it's full potential (Matthew 25:14-30).
Title of God: Redeemer (Isaiah 54:5)
No matter if you look at Webster's dictionary or the definition of the
original language, the title redeemer means one who pays another's
price. If someone else had died for our sins, God couldn't call
Himself redeemer. Jesus, as God, paid that price and His name of
"Redeemer" is a testimony and promise of love.
Isaiah 54:4-5
"Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded;
for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of
thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any
more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name;
and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth
shall he be called."
Galatians 3:13
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse
for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a
tree…"
2 Corinthians 5:21
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might
be made the righteousness of God in him."
Trust your redeeming, loving God.
