-Day 22-
God cannot lie. Consider for a moment that God knows everything that
has happened, is happening, and will happen (Isaiah 46:9-10). When God
promises something, He has the foreknowledge to know whether it would
be true or not. Because God is a God of Truth (Deuteronomy 32:4), He
would not promise something
that would not be true. David speaks of the Lord's faithfulness in 2
Samuel 22:31, saying, "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the
LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him."
You can trust in the integrity of God's promises.
Numbers 23:19
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he
should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he
spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
2 Samuel 22:31
"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is
a buckler to all them that trust in him."
Job 40:6-8
"Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Gird
up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou
unto me. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me,
that thou mayest be righteous?"
Titus 1:1-2
"Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to
the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is
after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began…"
