Well, I posted this a sec ago, but it didn't post, even though other
things I posted after it did. So, here it is again.
-Day 23-
Galatians 2:20
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for
me."
When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see your sins and
failures or Christ's righteousness upon you? Well, if you have
repented and accepted Christ's death for your sins, the above verse
tells you that the sinful part of you is dead and you live on with
Christ living in you. You should not limit yourself by what you have
done but what He can do in you. You are limited only by your level of
faith in the one that empowers you.
When God looks at you, He remembers the death of the cross. He
remembers your commitment of faith. He remembers the love that drives
Him. He doesn't remember the sins you repented of. Scripture says
that He blots those sins out and removes them. So, if you are hanging
on to sin and feeling guilty before God, it is YOU not HIM that is
allowing those past events to haunt you.
Trust in the God that would rather die in your stead than let you
suffer for your own actions. Trust in the one that gives you life to
give you power to face the challenges ahead. Trust God.
PS 1:1-3
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor
standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. But his
delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day
and
night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth
forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and
whatsoever he
doeth shall prosper."
Mark 10:27
"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not
with God: for with God all things are possible."
