1) The information on the scroll of Isaiah was to show that your
assertion that these stories had been badly mahngled over the centuries
was wrong.

2) The books of the New Tsetament were first wriiten in Greek (the
primary international language of the area at the time of Jesus); the
number of sources in Greek increase dramatically after the peroiod of
300 AD. These are the sources used for translation. 

3) Some information on the dating of the gospels can be determined from
the writings of early leaders of the Church. Irenaeus (ca 180) wrote on
the Gospels; an earlier do***ent (ca 170) also mentioned them by name.

4) As for stupid believers- try Louis Pasteur, father of microbiology;
Sir Joseph Lister, the surgeon who pioneered antiseptic surgery and Dr.
Francis Collins, who ran the Human Genome Project to it's successul
completeion. Painting with a broad brush is not the way to influence
people
