They'd agree whole-heartedly, as you well know now that I have explained
your ****-up to you.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the
commander
in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in
solidarity.
And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
The Associated Press
WA****NGTON -- President Clinton turned his attention away from a nearly
constant focus on the Kosovo crisis Monday to play a round of golf.
Clinton went to the Army-Navy Country Club in suburban Virginia shortly
after he finished receiving an update from national security adviser Sandy
Berger on the NATO mission in Kosovo. Apparently, Clinton wanted to take
advantage of sunny weather with temperatures approaching 70 degrees. Save
for a few speeches and a journey to Camp David, the president has been
virtually sequestered at the White House during the past six days, as NATO
carried out air strikes against Yugoslavia for its repression of ethnic
Albanians in Kosovo. While at the golf course, Clinton placed telephone
calls to British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Chancellor Gerhard
Schroeder
of Germany. David Leavy, national security spokesman, said the leaders
discussed the status of the air campaign; Serb action against Kosovo's
ethnic Albanians, driving thousands of them from their homes; and Russian
Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov's pending visit to Belgrade.

Clinton plays golf during Kosovo and gets a pass, while Bush doesn't out
of
respect and gets smeared for it. That means the press isn't liberal,
doesn't
it, Johnny?
