Thinking of the recent California Supreme court decision.............
The supremes said that marriage was a fundamental right of one person to
"marry" another person of their choosing.
If this is a fundamental right, why did the court draw a line at two
people
instead of three or more? Their can be no law that contravenes a
"fundamental right".
Interesting scenario: There is no tax on property passed on to the spouse
upon the death of the other. A father wishes to pass on his property to
his
son upon his death but has considerable assets that death taxes would eat
up. So he marries his son............
