You seem to be thinking about the anthopmorphic priniciple
(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphic_principle)
rather than evolution (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution).
Evolution isn't a theory but rather an observed fact. The Darwinian
Theory of Evolution is an attempt at an explanation of the
observations.
This is no different than Newton's Theory of Gravity.
Before you get all religious on my consider who George Mendal was.
He was an Augustinian Monk. Genetics is what it is. A belief in
God does not change that.
