You could say that the Olympic games are acting as a torchlight,
****ning onto China, after all your talking about it, all the worldwide
press is talking about China, would that have happened if they didn't
have the Olympics, probably not. So when you look at it like that it's
actually a good thing.
With regards Darfur, they should do more. Tibet is different it is
seen as a part of China and although they are being heavy handed, if
Tibet got away then the other 50+ ethnic groups in China would want
independance and that's never going to happen.
If you ask me, overall it's a good thing, and anyway in 50 years time
China will be the worlds only superpower, with a middle class with
spending power that will dwarf America so it's best in the long run to
get ithem nvolved and bring them in rather then shut them out.
That's my opinion anyway.
