Did you look at the dates of his work on the Lenin Archive and when he
stated he didn't sup****t the Bolsheviks? Remember I said you had a
real issue with viewing everything statically...it's like you were
arguing Trotsky was anti-party because he opposed the Bolsheviks in
1903 or Lenin went after him in 1914. Things change. At the time Brian
and I undertook the project (and Brian was never "in charge", we ran,
which meant worked on, the LIA together) the goal was to transribe
Lenin's writings. He and together did a small ****tion of that. His
"anti-Bolshevism" didn't reat it's head only toward the end of his
participation in this part of the MIA, and in large part, in fact
*because of* his reading of Lenin's writings that he grew to
politically oppose Leninism. Unfortunate, but true. The main point is
that Brian did a *great job* working with me on the LIA. Others not so
much. We've had several volunteers as admins and we have a new one who
is young, indendent and technically proficient and above all: willing
to do the work.

V, you confuse transcribing texts with somehow acting like a Leninist
or purvayor of Lenin's ideas. It is not and there is no requirement
that someone agree with everything they transcribe. Plus...how would
anyone "show Lenin in a bad light" by working on transcribing his
writings.

You'd have to give an expambe beyond one obiturary. You have no idea
what Brian "pushed" or not, period, so you can't really say very much,
as hard as you try.

Go to one of the mirror sites, it may still be up there. They don't
all update once a day. No one else could give a damn about what you
think on the MIA V, honestly, so clearly no one cares. Brian's
resignation was about 6 weeks ago, people in charge of this section of
the MIA delt with it. It's still up on the one or two mirrors:

http://marxists.anu.edu.au/admin/volunteers/biographies/bbasgen.htm

Here, so no one is hiding anything. And why would we? It's irrelevant.
If you agree with the Charter and bylaws, you can join the MIA. We
have Stalinists, Trotskyists, non-Marxists, anarchists, social-
democrats, whatever on the MIA. We don't care, you only have to do
actual work.
