HAARP: High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program

Since I love science fiction, and, of course, the good sci-fi is based
on real science, and I love conspiracy theories (which, let's see: 'c'
is consipracy theory; 'f' is science fiction, 's' is science, and 'v'
equals Vngelis, thus, c + f + s is equal to or greater than 'v', then
I guess...OH MY GOD! I have to love Vngelis! Well, there you have it
folks, V is my sock-puppet! Who would've thunk it????) I thought I'd
look up HAARP on wikipedia.

A very well round entry, and, in fact, something very scary, albeit
not along the lines of our X-Files protege here on APST. In fact, the
Russians in partucular oppose HAARP because it represents the ability
to heat up very small areas of the ionsophere (an area too high for
planes to fly through and two low for satalites to pass through) with
concentrated forms of electrons, causing anything in it's path to
ionize. The Russians see it as a violation of ABMT (which the US
pulled out of in any event) and a potential escallation.

The HAARP facilitiy is in Alaska. And...it's open to the pulblic.
Apparently they give tours. The total power draw is 3.6 MWs, or about
the same as diesel locomotive.

But the real question here is this: does HAARP involve Space-bats, do
they suck blood, and are they mutated in ravanous Godzilla-like
monsters because of the ionizing radiation emitted by HAARP? Well?
