I understand your reservation. It is the reason I delayed
"psychologizing" this argument for as long as I did. What moved me to
make the point was, first, that I had an insight, or what I consider
such, into relation****p between conspirativism and the left on the one
hand and homo***uality and the left on the other. Both conspirativism
and homo***ual activism have had debilitating effects on left-wing
politics, and it occurred to me that the reason is they are each
associated with paranoia. Second, what moved me, is that vngelis was
calling the anti-conspirativists crazy. Not in the same way, granted.
vngelis was not imputing a clinical syndrome. vngelis was alleging,
instead, brainwa****ng by the new world order. But effectively, it's
the same thing. At some point, intellectual honesty required saying
that if I seemed crazy to vngelis, it was because vngelis is crazy.
