David North is an American socialist (Trotskyist). He has been the
leader (national secretary) of the American Workers League (renamed to
Socialist Equality Party), the United States section of the
International Committee of the Fourth International. He is also the
chairman of the International Editorial Board of the World Socialist
Web Site organization.[1] He is also an author of books and articles
on the history of the Socialist movement. He also delivers lectures in
politics[2] and the history of Marxism. [3]

Since this is a Wikipedia biography, there are certain standards of
decency and precaution that have to be met in choosing what to include
in the article and how to present the information. The inclusion of
the CIA-accusation in such a short article violates this principle,
since it gives the reader a very distorted view of David North. I'm
sure that there are many events of more significance in David North's
career since the 70's that are worth mentioning. It would be
appropriate, for example, to go into the positions that Mr. North has
taken on various events in the WSWS. If, however, the article were
much longer and the accusation were presented in the context of a
larger section (perhaps titled "Conflict with Gerry Healy" or "Breakup
of the WRP"), then they would not violate this rule. -Thucydides411

In other news, Thucydides is the greatest historian the world has ever
known or ever will know.
Thucydides411 considers himself a citizen of the world. The only

=B9 It appears the SEP/GRPI were able to operate here unopposed and
suppress the previous article David North (Trotsykist) and it's
discussion which glaringly showed their attempt to suppress what the
"Notes on the SEP/GRPI Puzzle" article linked above is referring to.
There were more details supplied by others, but the main thing it
showed was how Joe Kay and presumably others from the group in
question attempted to simply suppress the discussion. I think it's the
obscurity of this group and especially the obscurity of socialism in
US politics that allows this to happen here. All politics is either
Democrat or Republican and the other stuff just doesn't matter should
it become known. If this was about video games or something the wiki
community process would probably have worked better. Lycurgus (talk)

When the dwarf came to the queen on the third day and she revealed

name, Rumpelstiltskin lost his bargain. In the 1812 edition of the
Brothers Grimm tales, Rumpelstiltskin then "ran away angrily, and
never came back". The ending was revised in a final 1857 edition to a
more gruesome version where Rumpelstiltskin "in his rage drove his
right foot so far into the ground that it sank in up to his waist;
then in a passion he seized the left foot with both hands and tore
himself in two." Other versions have Rumpelstiltskin driving his
right
foot so far into the ground that he creates a chasm and falls into
it,
never to be seen again. In the oral version originally collected by
the brothers Grimm, Rumpelstiltskin flies out of the window on a
cooking ladle
The name Rumpelstilzchen in German means literally "little rattle
stilt". (A stilt is a post or pole providing sup****t for a
structure.)
A rumpelstilt or rumpelstilz ("rattle stilt") was the name of a type
of goblin, also called a pophart or poppart ("rapper" or "thumper")
that makes noises by rattling posts and rapping on planks, similar to
a rumpelgeist ("rattle ghost") or poltergeist ("noisy ghost"), a
mischievous spirit that clatters and moves household objects. (Other
related concepts are mummarts or boggarts and hobs that are
mischievous household spirits that disguise themselves.)
