You are quoting this but from where?
Socialism is the full expression of democracy. True socialists hold
democracy as essential elements to a sane society. Freedom from the
dictates of the state and freedom from the dictates of the private
sphere are elemental to socialism.

Socialism will free individuals from the compulsion of wage slavery.
Under capitalism you are secure and free if you are rich but neither
if you must work for a wage for survival. Socialism demands freedom
for everybody.

Capitalism has freed us from the dreary muck of feudalism. And it is a
necessary step in the development of liberty and democracy. But it is
only a stage of devlopment. It is starting to fail as it matures and
like anything at all, it has a birth, it has healthy growth and
development, and has maturity and then it will die. It will
necessarily be replaced by socilaism. That might be in a decade or a
century but it will happen. >Archie
