You should say National Socialist Israel because they are nationalists
and socialists.
>and killing civilians with tanks, attack helicopters and fighter planes?
I thought you said only communists were violent but socialists weren't.
Israel is a socialist bastion TurkeyBoy. Please be consistent will you?
"It is true that Communists like to call themselves Socialists but they
are nothing more than terrorist thugs. Even in former Soviet occupied
Europe, Communist thugs managed to reinvent themselves as Socialists
but they are still Communist thugs. There is nothing common between
Communists and Socialists. Communists are terrorists who want to rule
as dictators and allow no dissent while Socialists try to improve
human conditions through elections and reform. Only the ignorant would
confuse Communist thugs with Socialist reformers."

Israeli politics;

History of David Ben-Gurion
...After the Balfour Declaration, Ben Gurion called for the formation
of a
Jewish army to liberate Palestine. He volunteered for the British Army and
reached Egypt. In Egypt he met many like minded volunteers and all agreed
on the
necessity for a united movement to prepare for the day of Jewish rule in
Israel.
The evolving socialist nature of Zionism in Palestine was ultimately
accepted and actively sup****ted by most of the leaders of the World
Zionist
Organization (WZO)..."
Those socialists formed a Jewish army to liberate Palestine which is a
nice way
of saying they started slaughtering Palestinians who didn't want to abide
by
their socialist ways.
http://www.ahavat-israel.com/eretz/invest.php
"...From the late 1950s to the early 1970s, Israel experienced strong
economic
growth with demand consistently outstripping production capacity. The
result was
overemployment and little regard for either efficiency or profitability.
Indeed,
the very concept of a profit motive had negative moral overtones for
Israel's
socialist founding fathers. Furthermore, over half of Israel's industry
was
owned by either the government or the Histadrut, and much of the rest of
the
economy was indirectly controlled by the government through the large
banks..."
Now what political persuasion were Israel's founding fathers? SOCIALISTS
Even the liberal New York Times published this;
"In Israel, a Ho-Hum Response to Peace" (World Markets, Oct. 30) was
salutary.
In questioning a so-called peace dividend, Paul Lewis took a step to
correct
grave misunderstandings about the peace process, a step that may help
temper
expectations in other areas.
Mr. Lewis, however, did not get to the root of the matter: the peace
process
itself is unlikely to advance economic reform in Israel. The talks in
Casablanca
aren't likely to help, either.
Mr. Lewis re****ts that reform of Israel's socialized economy is a key
step to
taking "advantage of the new economic op****tunities that peace is
creating." But
changing the "scl*****c socialized economy" represents something far more
fundamental than a mere step in Israel's would-be reforms. The economy is
socialized and scl*****c because Israel is a socialist regime -- period.
The privatization success that Mr. Lewis cites is inconsequential -- 8
nonbank
companies of the 160 Israel owns. Israel has no private sector in the
Western
sense; socialism based on aid is the highest policy of the Israeli state,
for
the Likud as well as the Labor Party. This is the heart of the matter..."

The Fist and Rose is sweet and strong
And DSA can do no wrong
Lead workers through the thickest fray

So raise the fist and rose so high

Tho liberals cringe & sectarians sneer
We'll keep the red flag flying here

Who is your Hero Obama tied in with? The people who have such songs as the
above
at their website!!!!!
Obama Speaks at Socialist Leader Saul Mendelson's Funderal
From the Chicago DSA Website: "Saul Mendelson - You joined the Socialist
movement at the
age of 18. You chaired the Socialist Club at the University of Chicago.
You
taught and
inspired students at DuSable High School. You fought in the civil rights
struggles with
the NAACP, with CORE, and with the Negro American Labor Council. You have
held
fast to
your belief in democratic socialism."
"At the memorial service held at the 1st Unitarian Church on South
Woodlawn,
speaker after
speaker recounted Saul's contributions. The service was ably MC'd by a
retired
colleague,
Bob Clark. I spoke first and was followed by Saul's friend Deborah Meier,
a
MacArthur
Genius Grant recipient who is now starting a new school in Boston. Amy
Isaacs,
National
Director of the ADA, spoke of what Saul had meant on foreign affairs to
the ADA.
Other
speakers included Senator Carol Moseley Braun, Alderman Toni Preckwinkle,
State
Senator
Barak Obama, Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie and a
good
friend from
New York, Myra Russell. The concluding remarks were made by an old friend,
Harriet Lefley,
who is now Professor of Psychology at the University of Miami Medical
School."

From Obama campaign website;
http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/group/MarxistsSocialistsCommunistsforObama
Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama
This group is for self-proclaimed Marxists/Communists/Socialists for the
election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. By no means is he a true
Marxist,
but under Karl Marx's writings we are to sup****t the party with the best
interests of the mobilization of the proletariat. Though the Democratic
Socialists of America or the Communist Patty of America may have more
Socialistic values, it is pointless to vote for these candidates due to
the fact
that there is virtually no chance they will be elected on a National
level. The
members of this group are not Leninists, Stalinists, etc. and do not
sup****t or
condone the actions of North Korea, China, Cuba or any other
self-proclaimed
"Marxist States." They do not in anyway represent the Marxist philosophy
nor do
they represent Socialism/ Communism. We sup****t Barack Obama because he
knows
what is best for the people!"
>Have a nice vegetarian day!
That's right-- socialists tend to be vegetarians.
http://www.futurecasts.com/Muravchik,%20History%20of%20socialism.htm
In "Heaven On Earth, The Rise and Fall of Socialism," Joshua Muravchik
attacks his formidable subject logically by presenting a series of short
biographies of some of the most influential leaders of socialist,
communist and
labor movements...
The leaders, their organizations and primary associates are presented in
the context of their overall lives and times. The book covers their
political
careers at some length. Almost all the socialist and communist leaders
were
middle class and upper class intellectuals rather than workers or the
poor.
Communism was always the dictator****p over the workers, not of the
workers...
The totalitarian despotism line was adopted right from the beginning -
during the French Revolution - by François-Noël Babeuf. As Friedrich A.
Hayek
was to explain almost a century and a half later, Babeuf's goals were so
noble
that they justified the most bloody-minded means...
Like Pol Pot towards the end of the communist experiment, Babeuf
believed his noble cause justified - and indeed required - total
destruction.
"A regenerator [a revolutionary like Robespierre] - - - must mow down
all that
impedes him - - - all that might hinder his safe arrival at the goal he
has set
before him - - -...
Babeuf tried to take the French Revolution all the way to abolition of
property
rights
and the establishment of his new economic system. "
BTW Babeuf was a socialist and the French Revolution was bloody.

THE FIRST MODERN SOCIALISTS
Modern socialism was born in the course of the half century or so that
lies
between the Great French Revolution and the revolutions of 1848. So was
modern
democracy. But they were not born linked like Siamese twins. They traveled
at
first along separate lines. When did the two lines first intersect?
Out of the wreckage of the French Revolution rose different kinds of
socialism.
We will consider three of the most im****tant in the light of our question.
I. Babeuf. -- The first modern socialist movement was that led in the last
phase
of the French Revolution by Babeuf ("the Conspiracy of the Equals"),
conceived
as a continuation of revolutionary Jacobinism plus a more consistent
social
goal: a society of communist equality. This represents the first time in
the
modern era that the idea of socialism is wedded to the idea of a popular
movement -- a momentous combination.[1]
