Yes he is viewed much different now than he was then. He is viewed as
one of the great tragedies of government run amok.
He was single handedly responsible for many suicides, destitution and
destroyed lives than there ever should have been. All of it done with
innuendo and paranoia.
He and Joseph Angleton were kindred spirits.
