But ZeD, it isn't that simple.

If we have full employment (and there is no question that until the last 6

months or so, we did) and there are 12 million workers taking jobs that 
should not even be in America, then there are not enough Americans to fill

the jobs at any wage. If we had high unemployment AND 12 million Mexicans 
depressing wages, then what you say would be true. But we have very low 
unemployment and 12 million Mexicans taking jobs where there is nobody
else 
that can take them.

I get the argument that Mexicans take crappy jobs, or get crappy jobs 
because that is all they can get. But every American has a job that wants 
one, and there are still 12 million more jobs to be filled. The crappy
jobs 
are always the last to be filled, that's why the illegals have them.

I just want any immigrant in this country to be a legal immigrant. If he 
gets a good job, then that is icing on the cake.
